Does my mutt have malamute or husky traits?

Hi,
I registered to this great forum to ask that simple question. I got my girl as a puppy, and, surprisingly enough, her mom is black and brown as seen in picture leeka.jpg (sorry for the terrible quality). The dad is unknown.

She still has some heritage from her mom with a bit of brown on her back legs and a beige undercoat. Most people call her a husky, but would you say she has mostly the traits of a malamute or a husky?

How old is she now? She is very sweet as a pup but is that other pic her as an adult?

Hey thanks for the reply. Yes, all the pics are from her. She is one and a half now, grew up very fast.

She looks more like a husky to me! Malamutes tend to have a bulkier build with ears set wider apart. They also have bushier tails that are carried over their backs. She's so happy in these pictures, thanks for the share!

I have a Malamute cross and she is a lot chunkier..

Looks as though she does have siberian husky in her but there could be something else. Who knows she is gorgeous. These are the colours mentioned on a Siberian list: Black, White, Red, Grey, Splash, Sable, Black & Tan, Copper, Brown, Black & White, Silver, Agouti, Piebald So maybe mum was crossed with a Siberian.

Definitely more husky ... i too have a mal x and he is a lot more chunky and larger in every way
