'Air dried' bone.....

......is it the same as a cooked bone? A close friend bought Jinty an air dried venison bone and I was just wondering what affect 'air drying' would have on the bone?

Thanks

I wonder if it has been dehydrated I have one of these contraptions and it takes the moisture out and is in effect still raw. Not sure about the splinter factor of the bone.

I would think that any form of drying (cooking, air etc) would make the bone more likely to splinter?
