Things that people say that are annoying!

Are there any sayings that people say annoy you and are pointless?

Just had someone on the phone, trying to promote their graphic design mag and he wanted to 'touch base' with the right person. What was all that about 'touch base' I nearly asked him if he meant that he wanted to contact the right person.

Also we have a woman here that, in every conversation, she has to say 'basically, what happens is....' Now it either happens or it doesn't!

The only saying that annoys me big time is my daughter's constantly saying "I'll do it in a minute"

Before I'd even read the first post "touch base" was the first thing that came to mind!!

I get my suppliers saying that to me all the time and I cringe every time I hear it!

I get annoyed when telephoning say a utilities company or phone company with a gripe about something and they ask"is there anything else I can help you with today?" when they haven't helped with what was asking about already

People who say they will give 150%..........no you wont you numpy!!!!!!! Did no-one teach you basic arithmatic?

People who start sentences with "Obviously" and end sentences with "Yeh"

People who say 'like' all the time or "d'you know what I mean" after nearly every sentence!!

Sid's Dad has the most annoying one, he has a made up word - lish. In the context of that person is fit (as in healthy/good figure), she's lish -NOOOOO, you mean lithe, there's no such word. The worst thing is I've heard other people saying it now and it's nonsense!!

It's short for delicious, he's down with the kids

At this moment in time - why not just say "now".

I hate "literally...." "practically...." - just a waste of breath!
