thank you - he was not impressed with me holding is nose still while there was a bone beneath him.....I wish these pictures had sound!

Lovely photo's. I love the second one.

Looks like the news lens is working out well. I'm still undecided on mine, just trying to figure out how much i can spare before my holiday and go from there!

Those are really lovely photos. They look gorgeous. I think they'd make great canvases to hang on the wall - really unusual.

Very nice - I could tell it was a 50mm f1.8 with that shallow depth of focus.

Thanks...there are not many people who would like dogs eating bones as canvases....I love dog forums!

Its amazing isn't it.... I have never really played with DOF that much (lowest I have is f/3.5 on the other lens and am always more concerned with the shutter speed!)

I shall be playing more!

stunning pics and i love how all the focus is on gabe's eyes and slightly off focus on the rest of him.

i think that there is something really natural about the dog and bone photos. gorgeous!
