i need to cry and screammmmmmmmmm

i have just sat and done a essay that i needed to do for college that needed to be handed in TOMORROW

it was 2,000 words, okay not alot
but did it all, has taken me since 3pm and kept saving it as i went

just as i finished and went to print it the pc crashed (
ok no big deal

came back on tried looking for the file where i have saved it

and...................


the file is BLANK!!!!!

Oh no - so sorry to hear that. Just a thought, you say you've been looking for the file where you saved it. If you've done it in word and you go to file menu at the top of the page and look at the last thing you did before it crashed - is that document blank also?

i,ll have to sit up all nite and do another one cos i can,t remember what i put in the other one

the hardest essay and i go and lose it!

Good point. Or try searching for something in the file, the title for instance....

Sorry to hear your PC crashed at least some of it was saved and you don't have to re do the whole lot.

Yay - glad you have some of it back at least! That trick has been a life saver for me on many occasions!

I'd change 'auto save' to be a bit more regular.

I can feel your frustration, having done very similar myself in the past.
