A bit of pre-Crufts grooming

Getting his coat ready for Crufts, its in a bit of a state at the moment, as he is still in coat change, so a little bathing and brushing is in order ......

mmm he doesn't look too happy with the idea of it all Was only thinking about the coat change thing and Crufts the other day, Lona looks like a leaky duvet at the moment and they've all got bits hanging off them, and I was thinking how the heck do the show people go on, then again I know my dog groomer friend has a blower or something that brings the coat out.

Yep..thats what I am using, a blaster, it dries and blows old coat out at the same time, funny enough even though he does not look happy , he quiet enjoys being blasted, better than being groomed anyway LOL!

Ben is like that too Jackie. Does not mind being blown at all, but just hates the detangling and brushing. It is my bet that in the past someone has really hurt him ripping away at them with a rake.

Something you might want to consider is a Dyson pet groomer attachment - don't know if you have a Dyson, but if you do you can buy a pet grooming attachment and it is absolutely brilliant. It has a sprung handle on it which you press and out come some very gentle wires which pull and suck out the dead fluffy stuff. Ben won't tolerate it on his belly or groin areas, but for his back and flanks and chest he is OK. Definitely not the legs though, he HATES them being brushed - he has to be muzzled for them!

Like all things Dyson it is expensive, but well worth it.

I`ve seen that tool, but i don`t think it would work on Figos coat type, when he hair comes out it knots in the coat, you have to separate the coat to get knots out, I think that would just pull on his coat to much.
