My son had really bad skin in his teenage years we tried clearasil with no effect then we tried numerous other things, eventually he went to the doctors and they prescribed a cream for his skin. It soon cleared it up, wish he had gone sooner as he hated the spots and we spent a lot of money on different cleaners and creams.

Agree tell him to go to the doctors, they have some amazing creams these days, which will quickly help clear it up. It is bad enough being that age , without stressing about your complexion. I hope it clears up soon.

Often these sort of skin coditions need a specialist cream. It would probably be worth going to the docs.
Hope it clears soon for him

Sauna! When I went to The Big Green Gathering a few years back I had a suana a couple of times a day for about 4 days and my skin was the best it's ever been, so I would say get a face sauna, tell him to use it twice a day but make sure he showers or splashes his face in cold water afterwards to close the pores up again!

If you go to the Body Shop (or online) they have a gadget that costs a couple of quid and helps remove blackheads gently with the use of steam alone. It is pretty amazing.....You use a hot flannel and then press it around the offending blackhead and it just pops out. Does not leave marks and is cheap and easy to use. Afterwards you just place a cold flannel on the area again to close the pore.It is also quite good fun......
