Is this a fungal infection?

Finn has a strange rash in the folds of his mouth as well as one of back paws. Inbetween his pads it is red and sore looking the same as the pic of his mouth. It has a blackish discharge. There is also a yeasty smell from it.

Is this some kind of fungal infection? We have an appointment at the vet later today.

Can that start in the foot though? Finn has had an itchy foot for a week or so which I have been bathing a few times a day in warm salted water. Only today I realised it had spread to his mouth. Obviously with him licking his paw.

Managed a photo of his paw It redness is in between the pads. Also his fur on his paw is turning pink

Foot and mouth??

Sorry Carole!
Maybe its unrelated? The mouth and the foot? I do know Boxers have this problem with the mouth, I think I remember the breed record holder having some of the skin removed from her mouth because of it? Whites also get more skin problems, maybe the two are a co-incidence?

Just got back from the vet. Verdict is most probably a infection due to food intolerances, usually it affects his ears but it is his skin this time. His foot is worse than his mouth so it probably spread to his mouth with him chewing his paw.

He has malaseb shampoo for baths and footwashes and I have to use dilute hibiscrub on his face and around his eyes. If no improvement next week she will give him steriods but she wants to avoid them if possible.

Poor Fella! Hope he gets better quickly, itchy paw must be unpleasant for him.
