Just caught this thread

So sorry Moons Mum. You tried and for that you have to be commended.

The best that can be taken from this is the poor lad is free from pain, irritation and at rest. Yes in an ideal world his medical issues should have been investigated years ago (possibly at the time of the attack on the mum), the father should not have proceeded to stick his hand in the mouth after the warning growl, the owner should have sought help with resource guarding a long time ago.

As someone else said another dog failed by humand and another human receiving treatment for a bite that may well have been easily avoidable.

I agree, so sad, but at least the dog is now free from any pain he may have suffered, and the most important thing, safe from a unknown future.

So sorry MM. Well done for trying as hard as you did.

I cannot understand why if he was insured they didn't go that extra mile for him. Maybe they couldn't bothered to do the journeys etc., who knows ?

He will be free from pain and pestering now.
