See what happens when you hang around with terriers! (2 terriers and a Staffie)

Went for a lovely walk with Gerri (Tillytheterrier) yesterday along the riverside at Shoreham. The weather was kind although it was a bit drizzly and very muddy!

Some may know that Alfie has had a few 'issues' with getting his paws wet and muddy and he has used avoidance at every opportunity. But, yesterday we think he saw the fun that his big sis and her best buddy were having and he figured, 'if you can't beat 'em, join 'em!!'

Tilly, who had previously been swiming in the river and had rolled in about 5 unidentified substances.

Lily, who had only paddled but had rolled in a very dead magpie, a similar amount of unknown substances and eaten a little bit of fish. (please note: her harness is normally a lovely shade of baby pink)

And Mr Moon. He did not swim or roll but had run joyously through the claggy mud alongside the river.

The three amigos

Note the mud coloured mascara Alfie is sporting in this one!

Yep, he's a muck monster!

Lol. Alfie shocked us all, especially when he walked through the mud to paddle his toes in the river. I was a bit worried that someone had stolen Alfie and replaced him with a muddy alternative! They all had a great walk though. Tilly has had her bath and all I can say is.....OH MY GOD!! I've never seen bath water that colour before!!

I think he shocked himself!! It was brilliant and my 2 have only just woken up properly! They are now playing chase in the garden

I bathed Lily last night and yep, the water was disgusting!!! Alfie was fine by the time we got home and his was just mud anyway. Not like the girls and their revolting rolling habits!

HA HA HA HA HA I think terriers are great at being nasty. My little Terrier I had when I was a kid rolled in anything dead he could find!!!

Oliver has yet to encounter something dead while off leash, but he's great at getting muddy!!!

What a great walk for doggies!!! I'm glad Alfie is showing his terrier side now

it didn't take long for Tilly and Lily to lead Alfie into bad ways.
