Looking for behaviourist

I wasn't sure where to post this so apologies if it should be somewhere else. I was just wondering whether anyone can recommend a behaviourist in the Manchester area or give me some way to find one? I know there's a registery of them but can't remember the name of it so all I find is ones in the USA which is a long way to go!!!

hi sarah, as mini says, u need to get a referral from a vet. most behaviourists will request a checkup from a vet to make sure ur dog is in good health prior to a consultation to make sure there is no other underlying cause. your vet will then usually have a behaviourist to refer you to.

Or these guys... UK register of canine behaviourists (UKRCB)

http://www.dogbehaviourists.com/index.html

They have a very rigorous criteria for membership so worth investigating.

Good Luck

You could also try here:

Depending on the problem some of the trainers with a behavioural interest may be able to help

Thanks everyone I'll speak to my vet and see if he can refer me if I have to have a referral. I don't think it's medical, more a complete lack of early socialisation that's causing me problems now. I've brought him this far but now I feel I definitely need a professional.
