Hmmm...

I would make Boxers born with a bob-tail so they didn't 'have' to go through getting them docked.

I'd make Bassets with shorter backs to suit their legs.

And if I could do anything...I'd wipe out any genetic diseases they're prone to.

Or is that not what you meant? LOL!

If Staffords were none existant, then I would own a Pit bull if it was legal, others I would consider are, Yankee Bulldog, Black Mouthed Cur, or Am Staff.

Yup...definately more labs, but would love a Golden Retriever, American Bulldog, Rottweiler, Westie, Flatcoated Retriever, Border Collie... In random order

I can't see myself without a Staff. But other breeds I would consider but not neccesarily get are.

Laura's Cassy

But other than that stroke of luck not coming off then

GSD's I have always liked - but would really need to do some checking
Poodles (two larger sizes)
PBGV
And a plain and simple mongrel

Although if the health were better I would like a
Bulldog (English)

But can't see me moving from a Staff they are my perfect dog.
