awe thats so sweet,

I do wonder how the heffalump will cope in years to come when tara is no longer around though

Very good point Shona ('tho isn't Tara the elephant ) since we all know how long elephants live and how short a life dogs have.

Perhaps Bella should have some pups to ensure Tara has loadsa friends for many years to come. It's as good a reason for breeding as any other!

That is a lovely story! thanks for sharing it

I think if the doglet dies, then the elephant might need to see the body and be allowed to sense what has happened, if she can. It's a little like what they may do in the wild if a herd member dies, especially the matriarchs
