Drogheda Champ Show today

Well, I nearly didn't go. Lashing rain, flooded roads, windy, and the prospect of showing outside with no wet weather rings
But I went. I got SOAKED. But it didn't matter because Deccy, despite his coat not being 100%, got the Green Star! It was his first show in Open dog too so a real surprise as he has gone there fresh from Graduate There is no PG here are rarely Limit so it is a big jump for most.
Deccy is now upside down with his feet in the air, recovering!

Roll on the second one
This is actually his third A certain well-known name who judged him a few months back and only gave him the Reserve, asked if it was his first. When I said it was his third, it was very satisfying! (Particularly as the previous 2 were from before she saw him)
How many points is that so far?
Only 10, but as one is a Major that means we are a quarter of the way there. Far better sounding than "we have 75% still to go" We need 40 points, at least 20 of which must be from Majors.
However, this is the best result ever considering who else was in the ring, (both multiple BOB winners and loads of points) the previous two GS's were not against the same level of competition.
