CD/DVD drive

How easy is it to replace the CD/DVD drive on a desktop PC?

I need a new CD drive and just wondered if I would be able to do it myself or would it be better to put it into a pc shop. The most I have ever done is upgrade the memory

yes its pretty easy to do . you just unplug one and plug the other in .. i have a book here on how to upgrade your pc for beginners id be happy to scann in the page ot type it out for you should you need it

oohh - i would be interested in this as am about to buy a dvd writer so want to replace it in my pc and my friend explained how to do it and it sounded very techincal and I need computers for dummies books !! LOL

If you've installed memory you can easily do a CD Drive

i installed just about everything on my old pc its now in the spare room for oh to play with . this one i has specialy built for me so have had to do nothingv as yet .. writers are very easy to do
