We paid just under £30 for Marius jabs and then a further £21 for him to be microchipped. The vet threw in some Frontline free and wormers

£90 seems high!

Lordy no!!

I think that a full consultation at our vets is about £25. I think we pay a few pounds extra for his jabs once a year, if I recall correctly his health check and vaccinations last year came to just over £30?

I pay about £15 for his wormer once every 3 months and about £15 for his flea treatment for 4 months supply and Max is considerably bigger than Fudge!!!

Your bill does seem quite high, did they give you a breakdown of costs?

90 quid, that seems too much.

I pay nearly 30 for the booster, buy the wormers from the pet shop and Frontline online, comes nowhere near £90

I get my wormers and flea treaments from online vets. I think there both without prescription now. I think I paid about £18.00 for 20 wormers and £6.00 per vial for th edrop on flea treatments. My vet charges about £28.00 for a booster.

Ollie is expensive because he is so large but for your little doglet seems quite high.

Depending on whether its a full booster or not (usually only need a full booster every 3 years, and a mini-booster - just parainfluenza and lepto - in inbetween years), and the size of the dog and what size pack of frontline, I think that could be a fair price. ie, if it was a full booster and a 6 pack of the largest size frontline.

Don't forget you're paying for the vets' professional expertise in health-checking your pet too, and that about £15 of that has gone straight to the taxman.

My girls have their booster every 3 years, we're charged £21 that includes injection, consultation and full MOT....I buy my wormer online, £1.70 per tablet and each of my girls have 1.1/4 tablets each, and I never used a flea product just garlic and they've never had fleas.

So yes, that does seem rather expensive for such a little doggie.
