Suze, I think the only thing you can do is take her to the vets. If you don't have the money, is there no-one that can lend it to you?

She needs checking over though surely ?
I would,You need to make sure shes ok as well as putting your mind at rest.If something worse happens you would never forgive yourself,Be on the safe side and get her booked in.
Hope shes ok.

Hi Suze, the first thing to do is to keep calm or you will distress your dog . This sounds very much like a 'petit mal' and you do need to see a vet .

Make a diary of the time/date/details of the event and if it happens again.

Here is some information for you.

...another thought is has she had access to any toxic substance?

I think it would be best to get her checked out Suze!!
I used to have petit mal (as mentioned by Minihaha) and with out wishing to sound blunt you can indeed have a petit mal episode standing up, Petit mal isn't a full blown, drop to the ground seizure like you may be thinking of.

I would honestly recommend getting her checked out though, please keep us updated on her condition

ok - im going to wait until my mum gets home - should be about half past 2 and she can drive to the vets if she wants to go

if it happenes again before half 2 -no questions asked - i'll take her

she seems fine though - but her eyes were so scary - i could see the whites in her eyes and they looked like they started to glaze over

do you think millie and sam have a connection in their illness??? i have a third dog - and i hope to god he dosent get anything

I used to get that glazed look too, in humans it can be likened to looking at someone who's daydreaming. I was on medication for a few years but was lucky enough to grow out of it.

If you do decide not to take her to the vet today I would strongly suggest you book an appt for Monday to get her checked out as the vet will hopefully be able to check out if there is any link with your other dog.

Sending healing hugs xx
