It would not affect a show dog at all it is accepted that black and white dogs have patches of skin colour pink or black it is normal. The dogs nose leather is black. Eye rims are not aloways black that depends on the dogs coat colour, some breeds ask for dark pigmentation in the eye rims but I know pink rims are accepted in white Staffirdshire bull terriers and some of them have black patches that can be seen through their white fur, no bother

The eyes just look sad to me and if it was sat up having fun they may look different.

Is he going in the show ring? Anyway, have you seen ALL the dogs ever exhibited at Crufts?

It would not stop a dog being shown because it is normal. The dogs nose leather is black.

OP, please stop worrying about this. It's just not a big deal. Your dog doesn't care, others who see your dog don't care, ONLY you care. Don't you find an issue with that? It's not a health problem, and it's perfectly normal. Just love your dog for who he is and be done with it. He's not even a show dog.. so why must he look perfect?

Looking at the photo again, it looks as though there is a yellow tinge to that area. Have you rubbed something in to the skin? For your own peace of mind take him to the vet to be examined as a telephone consultation will not help you at all.

If all is well with your beautiful pup please just accept that this is what he looks like. Don't have him tattooed as that area by his nose must be an incredibly sensitive area.

Let us know what the vet says.
