Would a responsible re-homing centre...

...try to re-home twelve 6-week old puppies three weeks before Christmas?

Most re-homing centres won't re-home just before Christmas so I guess the answer is no.

I've just had a look at their website, and they do seem to have some sort of process people have to go through, so it doesn't sound as if they'll just hand them over. Doesn't sound as if a home check is compulsory though.

Let's hope they can find the right homes.

The rescue I help "rehomes" right up to and through Christmas no dogs go out until the new year though so anyone applying can be checked and people have a chance to think about what they are asking for and if it's appropriate. Usually at least 70% of people say no they have changed their mind after Christmas.

Better to be safe than sorry and say definitely not before mid January. Too many little babies are taken and then they change their mind after Christmas.

Totally irresponsible of the rescue centre. The comments below the article reflect what we all think. Hopefully they won't be allowed to go to any new homes until mid January.
