I saw this story on Sky News as well and, if true, it is very touching, and the Chinese Authorities have allowed the video footage to exit the country, well they would wouldn't they after all it is good publicity to counter the bad when they have clamped down on reporters who have dared to try and film the clubbing to death of dogs (principally Newfoundlands) for the fur trade.

Extensive UN and animal rights group protests have (allegedly) reduced the trade slightly but with the Chinese authorities you never really know what is truth and what is propoganda.

Never ever make the mistake of thinking that the Chinese are unsophisticed when it comes to media manipulation.
