So the telephone rang

And a voice asked if I wanted any chicken backs. Malka thinks. Malka asks Da Booga but then realises that Da Booga will always say she wants. Needs. Must have. Whether she wants/needs/must have or not.

To cut a long story short [or, to put it in other words, ten kilos of very fresh chicken backs with meat galore] it turned up half an hour later.

Well, I am not going to argue, not at ~50P a kilo, with more chicken meat than bone and, somehow, enough freezer space as there always is once I do a freezer shuffle, so half is already packed and on fast freeze and the other half, which as yet I have not looked at, is sitting in the refrigerator.

And Da Booga has a smirk on her face!

Wow, well done you!

Not just lucky Pereg but lucky me, as once it is all sorted I will be cooking a load for myself as there is so much meat. I have not even paid for this lot as Mikhaël just brought in two large bags and took them through to the kitchen and said "pay me next time".

And Pereg, Bless her, sat and watched while I tipped one load into the sink and then packed each back separately to go in the fast-freeze sections of The Three Bees but did not even ask for a scrap.

I think she knows that she is on a diet yet again!
