You are doing an amazing job Steph. When the spring and summer arrive and you can camp out overnight that will really do the trick.

Seriously you are doing great and so is JC.

At first he must of thought ''WOT'' but after 10 mins he ready got it, it really was funny.
So there I am now soaking wet, showing a slip rope with Touch he nosed it and gained a treat.
Then the leading rope...Touch..treat
Headcollar...Touch...treat.
Then back to sliprope, again the lead rope again the headcollar. I even mixed them up and he got it he's a smart boy and all this is trust building all the time, each time Im stroking, reassuring and he's starting to gain the confidence that he isn't going to be beaten with the rope.
Coats still soaking!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
hopes it drys for tomarrow..............lol

Well tonight things came tumbling down

Well 'Touch' is a obvious winner as a game, so I had a game with him, rope headcollar, hand, arm, leg, knee etc., in the enclosure.

Marie came in and said 'right how we going to do this' ( getting his headcollar on was what she was refering too) so we thought use the method of sending him away, and keep doing it till he came over....seemed to work well too he wanted us to interact, Marie put his headcollar on the feed bucket and we walked steadily, he touched it when told, and he got a treat when he got it right etc., Then we tried to lift the rope over him so it touched him....Marie asked me to get out of the enclosure, which I did.....

well big mistake there then , he saw which way I went and took the enclosure with him as he tried to do the same thing....get under the ropes luckily its only slipped together so he sent them flying....and flew across the field

I stood there and shouted....'''Jimmy Touch'''..... held out my arm, he came running back, did touch and looked for his treat Then he lay on the ground and gave himself a foot groom and leg groom....so I sat on the floor, and he comes over and ate his tea

awwwwww you just gotta laugh, he's a real smartie pants
