Our newly decorated front room...

Thought I'd show you all the front room now that it's finished bar the carpets which should be here in another week or so.

We've had the tongue and groove below the dado rail all through the front room and up the stairs and landing. The builders did that for us but OH did the doors, paintwork above the rail and the new border. The last pic shows the front window which used to have a completely useless window seat in it. We had the builders take it out and have replaced it with the pine sideboard. We have chocolate brown carpets coming which will go throughout the house. I'm thrilled with it all. Think it looks really lovely clean and neutral. Hope you like it.

Wasn't my handy work mate. I was told to sit and do nothing. John's done the painting while I was back at work...bless him.

Thanks Vicki, we're really pleased with the results. I knew what I wanted in my head but had no idea whether it was possible or not! It just feels so clean and contemporary! God I've been watching too many home makeover shows when I've been off LOL

That's a good thing! It means you'll have lots of new ideas for when you come down to Croydon to decorate my house.....
