Homemade Soup
Lancashire Hot Pot
Stew and Dumplings
Home made Pies (no shop bought pastry either!)

Mind you, it was hideous weather the other week, and so I made stew and dumplings, putting the stew on in the morning to slow cook - come the afternoon, the temperature had soared, the sun was out, and the family looked at me as though I was mad!
