Sarah not always the case, rescue dogs often come from homes where their previous background is unknown and can often be difficult dogs (not always though, just depends where the dog has came from, how it has been previously socialised...)

I also read you have 2 young children? A rescue shelter won't usually give a dog to someone with children under 5 years unfortunately.

its hard work having pets when you have young children, take it from someone who knows lol

i would think carefully about this and make sure you are deff ready for a dog and 2 young kids, extra mouth to feed, vet bills, all the stuff a dog will need ie lead, collar, food bowl, water bowl, nice comfy bed, plenty of toys and most of all ,, all the time a dog needs

good luck in your search x x x
