Etta---my springer has lags that are fine and her sister has bow legs. Thus far both healthy and happy.

Don't worry too much.

Oh what a cutie you have there.

I don't have any knowledge of ESS but my first port of call on my dog would always have been the breeder or a friend of mine who is extremely knowlegable on the breed.

Not saying the vet wasn't right to refer you but just as a matter of maybe putting my mind at rest while I was waiting to see the specialist. Even just to let the breeder know there might be a potential problem. I am sure he/she would be interested to know in any event.

Hopefully it will all work out for you. Fingers crossed here xx

Just an update on this. I have an appointment at Liverpool university hospital next Wednesday afternoon which is about an hours drive.

Poor benji isn't allowed any food after 10 the night before which ŵill be so hard for him and me. He usually has had two meals by then. It is in case he has to have any blood tests. Sure his legs have grown longer this week but maybe I am just hoping. Will update you on Wednesday.

Driving down to Liverpool later today for benjis consultation.

How hard is it not to feed a puppy. He is not impressed and so far he has eaten a bit of a button, a mouthful of mud, a twig and I have just rescued a cable out of his mouth. The cat is staying out of his way.

He can't have any food in case they need to do blood tests etc. Will be glad when this is over. Really hoping they say his legs are fine.
