Wainwrights Dry & Prize Choice mince?

Hi
Currently changed evas dog food back to wainwrights, got her dry this time. While I was in p@h noticed that they had a raw food section with prize choice trays and loose minces.
Seen on other forums that some people feed the mince in a morning and WW dry/wet on an evening so they digest at different times.
Was just wondering if anyone else does this, do you add veg+rice to the mince or would she get the vitamins from the WW dry on an evening?
Also stuck with how much to feed.
She gets 300g a day of WW dry, 150g/150g morning/evening. The mince said feed 2% of dogs body weight including the rice/veg so im kind of stuck with the amount to feed?
Shes a medium sized staffy x and weighs around 21kg
Thanks

Before I switched completely to raw I fed Wainwrights in the morning and raw in the evening. Personally I didn't add rice, but did sometimes add some veg to help them feel more full. I also alternated between mince and bones (chicken wings etc) for the raw meal.

I would start off doing 150g mince for one meal and 150g of Wainwrights for the other meal. The veg you add to the mince meal would be negligible so I'd just add that on top. See how she looks on that and adjust accordingly

You might find that she starts turning her nose up at the dry biscuit meal though, being used to tasty mince! I moved over to Wainwrights trays for the complete meal in the end, which we do still have for emergencies

my dogs weigh 5kg and get around 125g a day.

with commercial foods some of the daily guide lines can be a bit high or a bit stingy, depending on the food, the rule is generally 2-3% of the dogs body weight, and watch to see if they are going underweight or overweight and adjust accordingly.

there are plenty of people who feed part dry part raw. i did it for a while, but they are now on fully raw.

it would be fine to feed a bit of raw in the morning, but the minces arent a balance meal, so maybe try and balance it a bit more, with different flavour minced, an offal meal and a bone meal.. then the dry in the evening..

as when on raw alot of people (the easiest way to start i think) is the 10:80:10 rule.. 10% offal, 10% bone, 80% meat..

its not complicated once you get the hang of it its just everyone does it differently and has their own way of doing what suits them and their dogs.

Mine used to be fed 100% raw, they are not anymore due to a number of factors. So they are fed Harringtons Dry in the morning, and then they have RAW/our leftovers etc in the evening.

I dont do weighing, I just feed by hand and eye...besides I mainly scatter feed the dry food, so I never really know who has had what...I just reduce/increase the evening meal as required

As for my own diet...I just ate 1/4 cold pizza and a fish finger sandwich

Ok, so iv worked it out that for her to have 2.5% bodyweight of the prize choice, it works out at 525g a day so thats 262.5g per meal. So if I give her 262.5g of the mince in a morning and keep her on 150g of wainwrights in an afternoon, Will this be ok? I will also be getting her the beef chunks, chicken wings aswell instead of the mince some days once she gets used to it, then once I know shes satisfied ill go to my local butchers. What sort of veggies so I need to be adding etc? xx
