hi Ian

if you are coming down via forth road bridge you could walk cramond area - right along the almond its nice but busy.

Harlaw reservoir is really good and the boys will love it -especially if they want a swim - I posted directions for it in the dog walk section - do a search it should still be there.....

If I didnt think i would be in hospital having a baba i would have offered to accompany you !!!

enjoy
dani

Ian - if you are in the city centre, I think Arthur's Seat would probably be your best bet - Balerno isn't really on your way in/out...but if you are going to be west/south of city centre, Harlaw reservoir sounds great. (I can't believe I must have only been minutes from it when I picked up Hoki from the SSPCA and never realised!)

There are also stretches of beach around Leith/Portobello if you're going to be round that area.

Fingers crossed for you that it will have stopped raining by the time you come down!
