Lovely photos Helen. I must have missed the other one. I have a Llewellyn Setter, Louie, who I had in September as a resuce dog.

What's the story behind Louie? How old is he? Does he show much working instinct? I was asked about an english setter dog last year, could he be the same one?

Louie came from Ireland as a failed working dog. The English Setter Rescue Association made all the arrangements for me. His papers said that he was 2-3 but my vet seems to think that he is younger than that. I think he was "gun shy" and thats why he was brought into the shelter as he doesn't like thunder or fireworks.

Not the boy I heard of as he was in the SE I think. My boss has a gunshy irish red and white setter which is fine for what we want as we don't need to shoot over them.
