Big bus tour, open top!! Show in Covent Garden.
Do not go to the London Dungeons - waste of money.
Zilli Fish Restaurent, Walk along the Thames...... I have been so many times and I love London. How about the Millennium Wheel, the view is fantastic.

London is a place I don't get to very often now, but I used to go there as a member of the Department's Whitley Council. When I had free time, I used to make a bee-line first to the Virgin Megastore in Oxford Street (a great selection of CDs), then to Harrods, to get something for Mrs S.

I was shocked, one day, to find EEC "Intervention butter" (an attempt to reduce the EU "Butter Mountain" by selling it cheap) being sold in the "rich peoples' shop" for less than it was being sold in our local Co-op. It was so reassuring to learn that people like Charles Saatchi were being charged less than Edinburgh pensioners.

I'm quite happy to visit London occasionally, but I'm glad I don't live there.

Snorri

I would recomend a trip into Soho and not just for the seedy bits! Other than the usual sightseeing places like wax works, millenium wheel,Hamleys,Harrods,Tower Bridge,Thames river trips etc-not a lot!

theres a great pub think its called the final bid, its nextdoor to branhams (sp?) (autioneers) they do a nice meal at a reasonable price, and the drinks are not over priced.
also theres some pretty good sales on along oxford street. and tottenham court rd.
also soho is good for their noodles.
