The Grand National - for or against?

Personally, I think this course is too harsh, and there are too many deaths for my liking, so I'm definitely against it.

Not keen either Vicki for the reasons you have just stated. May be being a hypocrite here as I used to compete over cross country courses on my horses(many moons ago), but, There seems to always be a horses death as a result of it being just too taxing for them.

I stopped betting on it many years ago when the horse I bet on died, along with another 4 that year I think.

I feel the same as the others.
I enjoy watching racing on the flat courses but this course just seems too much for my liking.

I have put for, It is sad when a horse racing dies but at the end of the day there is always a risk in doing anything involving animals, after all there were deaths at crufts this year.

I agree the course might be slightly harsh but they're alot of horses who can cope with it, maybe it should be a lot more difficult to enter it.

I am sure it is, But the only problem I have is when you see a horse seemingly breathless and struggling early on it makes me wonder if the trainers/owners have known it maybe to much but have entered the horse anyway.

I do agree with you though about enjoying racing, Its becoming habbit me and you agreeing
