About that fire...

A while ago I posted a thread re calling the fire brigade and was so grateful for your support!
Saw from afar the scorched trees..

Was out of circulation a while then was talking to a road worker nearby.

Yes they all saw it. The man's shed caught fire and the explosions were his heating oil tank going up

Lucky the man said that the house did not take fire.

I asked if my chatter called the fire service,, of course, he said, looking at the ground in the way folk do when they are lying! I know from the time frame that no one had before I did.

Gathered too that by the time they got there the worst was over and they were not welcomed!

This IS Ireland of course.

I did check re charges for the fire service and house fires are free.

If my outbuilding containing an oil tank caught fire I know what I would do!
