I spoke to the vet earlier and he is still alive
The vet said he is bright but still not really eating ,they cleaned his face up and discovered he only has one eye
They are a bit worried that he could have distemper(I never knew ferrets could get it) he said they rarely recover if it is distemper
They will keep him on the antibiotics and hope he starts to eat and picks up ,I have to call again in a couple of days
hopefully he will be getting better by then
so he is still holding on ,fingers crossed there is some better news when I call again

sorry had to laugh when i saw the picture and imagined you running after it, Bev, you do have a knack for finding these needy animals things don't you!!! (I think they tell each other the way to your house!)

Sad to hear he is in such a state, hope he pulls through....

lol Jess I'm sure you would have been in hysterics if you had seen me running after it ,It was up a really steep bank at the other side of the bridge and I felt so unfit trying to sprint up after it ,It took me about 10 mins to get my breath back after that

I do end up finding injured creatures ,I guess its because I have been doing it as long as I can remember (me and my sister used to help injured pigeons etc. as kids)I can tell if somthing dosent look right and if I see somthing in need of help I cant just walk by ,I have to try to help as best I can ,alot of people prob think I'm mad but if somone seen a child in need of help they would go to them ,I am like that with animals

I have just phoned the vets again ,the receptionist said it was eating ,but I have to call back at 2 to get more info from one of the nurses
I'll let you know what the nurse says after I have phoned
