nooooo its all messed up now!!! I never thought, my innocent Ben is actually planning to take over the world!!

Perhaps if I kept him off the sofa his A frame contacts would be perfect? Would save having to train things

That's nothing... I can put a fridge sofa and bed in front of all my dogs and have them in a stand on their heads stay at the same time for as long as it takes me to read all the books of the bible

Yep, he's just trying to be dominant, I'm sick of pointing this out to you!

So, you see, this is not just my supposedly arrogant opinion. Every book I have read on dog training adheres to this same advice. Not only are there dominance issues involved, but hygienic issues as well.
Every dog I've ever known (owned by other people) that is allowed on furniture has behavioral problems, does not regard their owner as alpha, does not mind or show what I consider proper manners.Maybe I am on the wrong site.
FairyToes, in all seriousness, I feel it would be incredibly beneficial if you could perhaps relax your strict criteria for a mo

I am not sure which dog training books you have been reading, but although it used to be thought there might be various issues with dogs sharing human beds, there really aren't. The only problem is if you have a dog who guards or who isn't responsive to the "Off" command, obviously.

This is fact, borne out by the evidence that so many people who have very well trained, nicely mannered dogs, also have dogs who share their sofas or beds from time to time.

That apart, I'd look to some good authors such as Jean Donaldson, Pat McConnell, Kim Moeller, etc etc for help.

Best wishes
