Scruffy Guider Collar

Anyone heard of them or used one?

The Scruffy Guider is a new and innovative dog training collar designed by pet professionals. The Scruffy Guider’s humane and safe double-collar design is naturally easy and safe on the dog‘s neck. It has many benefits that will help you raise your puppy and improve behavior in the adult dog. Scruffy Guider design incorporates a unique and convenient handle which allows you the ability to give your dog guidance and direction even without a leash..

The Scruffy Guider's patented double-collar design imitates a canine's earliest sense of training: the gentle nudge and scruff squeeze of the mother to keep her puppies under control. It also incorporates a unique handle that allows you to guide your dog without a leash.

It seems to work by gently squeezing the scruff of the neck (as opposed to choking like choker type collars) - I've never heard of them before and wondered if any of you have experience with them.

They were mentioned in the article posted in this thread Lynn - so I had to investigate as I hadn't heard of them before

The CM collar is the illusion collar named after his wife I believe. Come to think of it, it does look similar that sits very high round the neck I think.

Yep it is the same as the Illusion collar & puts pressure at the top of the dogs neck which is a very delicate area for a dog

Read the article Azz really interesting and informative.

Still not sure about the scruffy guide collar too much like the illusion collar but I suppose one step better than e-collars or prong collars.

There are two other products that are virtually identical to this.

One is the 'Wonder Collar' http://www.wondercollar.co.uk/

and the other is the Cesar Milan 'Illusion' Collar.

In theory it makes sense; the first collar sits high up for maximum control of the dog -the second collar holds it in place.

Not sure how comfortable it is for the dog though...

I'm amazed this product is being recommended for a puppy - I wouldn't use it.

Does look like the illusion collar but seems to work differently. If you don't need a lead with it Whats the actual point of it? i do guide my dogs by their scruffs at times as they don't wear collars in the house but i don't see why you would need a "magical" collar to do this?
Just looked at website and it does work like the illusion. Ho hum
