Dog CC means the Challenge Certificate awarded to the male (Dog) 3 of these awarded by 3 different judges makes the dog a champion

Bitch CC is the same as the Dog CC but for the bitches - at Championship Shows the BOB is chosen from the Dog CC winner and the Bitch CC winner at other shows it is the animal the judge decides is the best animal there in the breed.

Edit to add: strange as it may seen even if the judge felt unable to award any places in the classes they still have to award a BOB but not a CC. Of course, it does not happen but those are the rules.

When a CC is awarded the judge signs to say that in their opinion the dog/bitch is worthy of being a champion and the same is said of the Reserve Challenge Certificate winner, RCC winner.

The term Challenge Certificate (CC) refers to the winner of the dogs that the judge has called back into the ring, having judged all the animals of that sex in their classes, to 'Challenge' for the award of the Challenge Certificate and the judge will only award that certificate if they think there is an animal in the ring for the challenge that is worthy of being a champion.
