Look what I grew

they have taken a while to open, but I thinks that's because we have not had much sun up here.

Thanks for looking x

My little point and click doesn't do them justice, they have a slight pinkish blush to them. should have used Chris' SLR xx

Gorgeous Elaine - you can see the colouring on the edges of the petals. They are beautiful. x

Thanks Lynne, I have another 8 of these to open, the perfume is just lovely, I think it's wonderful how those stamens seem to pivot on a tiny thread. Isn't nature wonderful.

oh lovely lillies my favourite I have some in a pot (darker pink) which come up every year - except for last year when Tilly was a puppy & bit the stalks off but she's grown up & sensible now
Anyway I got mine as bulbs from the daily Mail for free 9 years ago. I know it was 9 years because they flowered on my wedding day & we had them in the marque in the garden. They've been called the wedding flowers since that day & when we moved house, we didn't have enough room in the van so I said to hub "oh just leave them!" so we did - but he went back & got them without telling me
Mine flowered this week too & it's not our anniversary for a another 2 weeks!
