Vets again!!!

Just found a hole in Kiara's leg right at the top in her armpit, the skins split to a hole about the size of a 10p piece I can see alll the muscle underneath

No idea how she's done it but feel really guilty that I've only just noticed she must've caught it while out walkies this morning I just noticed her licking something a lot - went to investigate and eeewwwww!!

Phoned the vet and on their advice as it's not bleeding I've packed and covered it til I go in the morning at 8.30!!!

She wasn't limping or anything but now she's got a bandage on she thinks she's had her leg chopped off and won't stand up

Well that's all 3 been to the vets in last 2 months so hopefully that'll be the end of it for a while

Thank God for insurance is all I can say or I'd have really been in the poo by now

aww, bless her. hope she's ok. bet she'll milk the sympathy.

Oh how worrying for you - I am glad she doesn't seem to be in pain. I must admit this made me laugh out loud:

Poor Kiara, I wonder how she did that!

Oh no I'm in for it now she's going to have 3 stitches and that silly collar - she's sooooooo gonna milk this but at least she's sorted and OK

I'll enjoy the peace while she's still at the vets - gotta pick her up after 1pm

Oh bless her! I can just imagine it now. When my last dog had a slightly bad back for about 3 days she still stood at the foot of the stairs gazing mournfully over her shoulder at me as if to say 'Well ... come on ... carry me up them ... you know I can't walk properly' for AGES afterwards. Even tho she was by then running about as usual and leaping onto the furniture!
