For me to spend that much on a dog it would have to poop some gold, so I could afford to feed a dog that cost that much of course

I would imagine the dog has good working breeding, this could help make it an excellant trail dog. If the dog was then bred from and its pups went for even 1/2 the price you would make back the investment and then some by breeding.
