whereas Monday of course, I was a quiverring wreck wasn't I and they must pick up on these things. The mere fact that she didn't bark ONCE at anybody, not even the men in there, let alone how brilliant she was with the vet herself, it just couldn't have gone better, especially when she actually did her roll over for me, the vet was well impressed with that one!!!!
Oh bless her little heart, she is a true and utter star, and I've already told my breeder that they just don't make them like her very often either!!!
As we were leaving I did explain to the vet about that horrible heart specialist man and she said these dogs do sometimes take a dislike to some men, she's noticed that with most of them that come in, so it's not that unusual for Zena not to like the male vets, so in future, unless it's an emergency, I'm going to be asking for a female vet and we should be fine once again. Awww, she even laid down at my feet like she always did before at the vet too, I just can't believe it, how she's got over it so very quickly especially after Monday!!
xxxxx
helen i would put money on the the fact you were nice and chilled made zena respond accordingly.
having said that..... i would have (and will be when it's lily's turn) been a total wreck!!!
i think you have both done amazingly well and you have some knowledge for the future which can only be a good thing.
she's a star because you have given her all the tools to be one. you're a wonderful mum to that incredible girl and this just proves that!
