That's not the same dog from the photo (post #4)..

The markings are different.. Unless that is not an actual photo...

A better photo of the dog - I think the above picture (post 4) can't be an actual photo... Is it a drawing??

(I wasn't doubting your word - just definately weren't the same dogs!)

Rattler was only in the first film and he was the ONLY AM Bulldog in that film. Very nice, typy dog imo.

In Homeward Bound 2, 4 American Bulldogs "played" Chance none of them Rattler. So nope, definitly not the same dog.

And 6 Goldens were Shadow (though some places say 2)

I actually liked the original Homeward Bound better for some reason But I think they're all great.

That is correct, Chance was in the first film and the picture i posted is definately Chance with Clayton Symmes. The photo can be found in Dave Putnam's book " The Working American Bulldog" . Suregrips dogs have appeared in over a dozen movies and tv commercials. Incidently Kyle Symmes who bred Chance is also a fire chief hence the arson alert dog training....Cheers...Ian..

Have to admit it confused me. It's not a drawing, it's definitely a photo of A dog, but, after examining it further you can see the cat's bum is cut off, they've obviously found the appropriate breeds and stuck them all together!

ooops just read ALL replies.

In that case, the one I posted must have been one of the 4 that played Chance in the next film...

I've never watched that version , but i have a copy of the original ,in which the animals dont talk ,which i prefer , as it never seems natural to me if they do .
