RIP old gentleman

I was on the bus this evening. As I got up for my stop (the bus was packed) I saw an old gentleman fall. Everyone just stood about. I sat beside him and told them to tell the driver, who stopped and called an ambulance. I talked to the man and held his hand but felt him slip away. So I did CPR. The ambulance came and they shocked him but he didn`t respond. They think it was a heart attack.
The bus driver got the passengers out of the emergency exit after one woman tried to push past us and I refused to let her climb over us.
But everyone else was respectful
RIP old gentleman.

Well done for trying Claire.
I can't beleive that people act this way. This happened when I was in the post office once and people still pushed past and stepped over the man to get their pensions

What an awful thing to happen. Well done for what you did for him. The fact that you held his hand and he didnt die alone on the floor of a bus brought me to tears. I thank you for that as he cant. xx

Bless you.......I am sure his family, if there are any, will be comforted knowing he was not alone and that someone acted so quickly giving him the best possible chance.

How sad.......... but thank goodness that you were there for him and as others have said, he didn't die all alone on the cold floor of a bus. He had a hand to hold and a comforting voice to see him on his way..... I hope that his relatives if he has any gain a little comfort from this.
Bless you. x
RIP old chap.

How sad. What a lovely thing you did and those people that were more interested in getting somewhere well shame on them.

I am sure his relatives will be comforted knowing someone was there to hold his hand.
