Butterfly Farm in my Bedroom?

Now I SWEAR that I have not had a drop to drink, or any mind altering substances....... it appears that I have a butterfly farm in my bedroom!
I have noticed that quite often there has been a Red Admiral fluttering against the inside of the window, sometimes I have found a dead one on the floor when I am hoovering, which I have to admit is not often
Anyway, there have been more and more of them recently so they must be breeding as I can't work out any other way they can be there! Perhaps there is a connection with what looks like grains of boiled rice I keep finding in odd corners and behind furniture. I am amazed they can survive on a wool carpet and no water........ has anyone else had this, or know anything about house-reared butterflies???

If I'd been on the poteen I would expect the effects to be more startling, assuming I was still alive!

Some butterflies do hibernate in houses so they could be waking up because it is so mild?
