Zenas daily walk in the woods

I took the camera this morning, so now you can share my same old same old morning walk I get in the summertime! It's not quite so glorious in the winter though when we have all the mud.
Off we go through the wild flower meadow, which has wild orchids in it and loads of butterflies hovering around, but Zena of course is only interested in that ball.

Down through the horses field

Here are some of the horses which Zena is fine with

Zoom around a bit before going on to the next field

We have to go down some steps into the next bit

then we're in there

Just gotta check behind me to see if mum's keeping up

Through a dark bit to get to the stream

We're down at the stream but there's a little terrier heading my way

Here's my stream I paddle in when it's full up over winter

Little bridge down there if we went another way over the stream

Then up we climb to this beautiful open woodland

Through another gate into some more little paddocks

In the paddock but still gotta check on that mum of mine

We could go home this way but we don't sometimes

Instead we went this way, it's not such a big climb home

Then I can see the tunnel of trees out into my road to get home

This is where we've just been

and then out onto my road just a short walk to those parked cars down there

Here's home, our little bungalow with the blind out the front

Then once inside, I get straight in my pool

Have a bit of a scrabble around with my Frisbee

then I sleep in my little corner in the shade and wait for some food

God it's a hard life being Zena Thanks for sharing my morning walk, and I'll take you up along the clifftops next time or down on the beach cos we go there lots

Thanks kat, it sets us up for the day, it's so beautiful in there, especially with all the changes of the seasons, it's always different.

Thanks Rose, and lovely to see you again You mean the picture where she's sleeping? Yes, I too like her like that but it doesn't happen often lol! She met a little husky dog this morning and he put it onlead, they said a little hello and it sooooo wanted to play, and then Zena was doing that play growling and I'm sure if we had been in one of the fields at the time she would have had a good play with that dog, but sadly, we were on a track, but we still walked together for a while. I've passed on the cuddles thanks Rose, and I too am definitely hail and hearty again now that the finger is getting much better. I hope you're over the worst now Rose, always thinking of you and your sadness, but I'm sure that Soochie still gives you kisses.xxxx

Thanks Meg, yes, it's a different world in these woods during the summer months, I could even wear soft, canvas shoes if I wanted to without any mishaps. I rarely go in them now during the muddy winter, it's such hard work ploughing through all that mud, let alone the cleaning of Zena afterwards.

Absolutely beautiful walk, yeah its a shame that mud spoils all the best walks once winters nets.

Thanks June. She doesn't look right in some of the pics, probably that big furry skirt hanging down makes her look fat, but she isn't now, cos the vet told me Friday she's spot on apart from a protruding backbone which he now wants to feel a bit more Never happy are they, unless they're skin and bone It's a truly wonderful, tranquil place and I hardly see a soul when I walk through here each morning, but it was nice to meet that little husky this morning which Zena liked - makes a change June!!!

thanks Anne, and it's just across the road, how lucky am I!!!
