Can you identify this shrub?

One of the joys of having a new garden is seeing what comes up .. and this twiggy shrub at Christmas has been transformed to something which is going to look very beautiful once all the flower buds are out... but what is it?
Do you know?

oh, and its not a test, I don't know what it is.. I am going to keep it, but I'd like to know what it is!

It could be a Philadelphus or Mock Orange. Does it have a nice smell?

I have one in my garden that looks exactly like that, but not so advanced, mine is a Spirea: Wedding Wreath (I think)

It looks abit ''hawthorn''

Although could it be a Dipelta Floribunda, or of that family xx

Ah right, thinking cap back on!
The flowers look a bit too spread out to be Spirea but it is difficult to tell in a picture.

I googled Wedding Wreath Spirea Christine, and I got Bridal Wreath Spirea - and the images I saw are that shrub to a T.

Thank you so much.. I shall look forward to seeing the leaves change colour in the autumn!

Does it say when a Spirea flowers? Mine flowers much later in the summer.
Another possibility is the Escallonia.
