Quick launch bar

How can I clean up my quick launch task bar please? I've been in the startup and I know how to do those, but I've got something in my quick launch bar I want to get rid of (an icon for a programme I removed) and when I right click thinking I can delete it, nothing appears? Thanks!

Look in:

C:\Documents and Settings\user name\Application Data\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Quick Launch

or right-click an empty spot on the Quick Launch toolbar and select "Open Folder".

Delete the shortcuts in there.
