Raised Dog Beds

Does anyone know where I can buy raised dog beds?
I have done a search, and can only seem to find 1 company, but I would like to compare prices/beds etc!

It has to be large/extra large!

Thanks!

Hi Hevvre here are a couple of sites, if you do a search on google for dog beds you will come up with more..

http://www.petfoodstore.co.uk/acatalog/Dog_Beds.html
http://www.petplaypads.co.uk/Durabed.htm

they are pretty expensive though..perhaps you could build a small wooden plynth and put a bed on the top

They look good and not that pricey...if it is not tall enough you could always make a 8" high or so wooden box with a back/sides and sit the doggy bag on it

Hi Hevvur, i remember talking to a company at the All about Dogs show earlier in the year. They had some really well made raised dog beds. I think that was all they made. All i remember is that they were based in Huddesfield. I have just had a look for my programme from the show but can't find it as they should be listed under the exhibitors. If i find it i will let you no....Cheers...Ian..

I can't make anything like that!
Would end up hammering my hand to it or something, or it would collapse when teagan got on it

I'd agree that a solid wooden platform (with ventilation holes) with a back and 'ends' would be best - you could put whatever sort of mattress/bean bag in that for Teagan and you would know that it was totally solid and stable for her.

I think if it was me (also not a carpenter) I'd just go to a local joiner and ask them to make it for me. You could have it precisely the size you need - to fit in a space in your house etc - and exactly the right height.

Compared to the cost of vet treatment etc i'm sure it wouldn't be much. £20 tops?

Good luck
