First house with Christmas lights up and on!

Last night, coming home from work I saw a house with it's Christmas lights on.

November 3rd..... and Christmas is here!

On Sky News I saw that there is apparently an unofficial rule in the retail trade that the X word won't be mentioned until Nov.1st, after that it's all systems go

I always felt that Dec. 1st was plenty soon enough and our lights won't be going up until mid Dec. partly 'cos I have to find a fault in them which means they don't work properly

Last year I had a Christmas dinner in November as my son was here from NZ and my daughter came from the Isle of Man . We were all together so we had Christmas dinner complete with crackers , games , party hats , presents and of course lots of champagne and other drinks .
It was great fun , on Christmas day it was just hubbie and me
