Just a note to let you know how Charlie is. No more seizures. The medication seems to have settled down and since his antibiotics have been increased he is steadier on his feet. He gets a bit hyper at night time but I try to calm him down early so that he has a restful sleep. Anyway he goes to the vet on Friday and I am hoping to get better news this week than I did last week.

It all sound pretty normal for this condition and medication so far ... I hope he continues to improve and that the vets can provide more advice.
Hugs to you both.

Great to hear that no more fits for Charlie. Hope the medication keeps on working and advice given to you by the vet.

Big hugs to him from me and doggy kisses from Loki xx

Just wanted to let everbody know how Charlie is doing. He has settled down now. He has started to take little episodes where his head shakes and he blinks his eyes. This lasts for a few minutes and then he is fine. His medication was changed to 1/4 of diazepam morning and night and I do not know if this is the cause of this or if this is another sign of something wrong in his brain. He goes to the vet a week on Friday. Hopefully he will pick up again.

I have a Beagle with Epilepsy. He is on 30 mg of Phenobarbitol twice a day. At first he had no energy, but he is getting used to them and is starting to act more normal. He does sleep more than usual, but it beats the alternative.
