Update on my cat.

Hi everyone,
Thank you all for the replies to my earlier post, and your help.
Well,we saw a different vet and he agrees that it looks very much like an allergy,so he gave us some cream to put on the sore spots, and he does'nt have to wear a collar which is great news as he can stay at home with us We have to take him back this Friday when the vet will start him on a course of Steroids, which hopefully will stop the itching, which in turn should stop the overlicking.I know steroids are a bit of a risk but my poor cat could not go on like this, and we(the vet & us)think the advantages will outweigh the risks attached. So here's hoping! Thanks again,Judo.

Great news Judo. It must have been driving poor Sam mad as well, I am sure using the steroids will be fine, at least it will give him a chance to recover
